Tomorrow Should Be Today

From now on, whenever I think I'll do something TOMORROW, I now know I should do it TODAY.

Atsushi told me about the upcoming Mogwai show before it was even listed on the Fillmore's website. I canceled my plans to Toronto for the New Adventures in Sound Art conference (an amazing conference full of inspiration which I missed last year), becuse of conflicts with the Mogwai show.

Then, instead of hopping on getting tickets, I kept putting it off, kept putting it off, until today. And today, when I went up to the tix booth, I find that it SOLD OUT YESTERDAY!

I'm an idiot. If you can help a gal out, you know how to reach me...

Favorites Thankfully, I'm on the Dailysonic producer's list, otherwise, I totally would have missed their series on Jawbreaker. It only makes sense that my favorite podcast, loved for being the urban-hip that I ain't, would do something on my favorite band....

Mogwai, Live Well, my Mogwai drama is over and now instead of NO tickets, I have FOUR! But if it hadn't have worked, out, this broadcast of their show in DC might have been a minor consolation.

Robynn Takayama is a community artist whose work has been presented through video, web, and gallery installation in San Francisco, Berkeley, Los Angeles, and Chicago.

A graduate of the KPFA First Voice Apprenticeship, she has contributed to national and local public radio programs and the Peabody-awarded documentary on Asian American history, Crossing East.

Robynn is a board member of the Association of Independents in Radio and served on the CPB-funded Makers Quest Talent Committee, charged with finding the most imaginative producers, reporters, and sound artists and urging them to take public radio beyond its traditional airwaves.
